General Information

Please join us for our annual Los Angeles County Disaster Healthcare Volunteers-Surge Unit Conference. The half-day event will be held at Luminarias Restaurant on Saturday, May 20th, 2017, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Please arrive at 7:00 a.m. to register, enjoy a free breakfast, and meet other Surge Unit volunteers. Free parking is also available.


Registration

The conference will have a new format of multiple 30-minute sessions focused on the theme, “Back to the Basics: How Preparedness Saves Lives.” Below is a list of our confirmed speakers:

Continuing Education

Target audience: All levels of healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, paramedics, EMTs, MICNs, licensed mental health professionals, and hospital disaster planners. There is no charge for this event.

CE: Approved for 3 hours of instructor-based Continuing Education credit through the Los Angeles County Disaster Medical Management CE provider #19-0602 and California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 14768. Objectives available upon request.

CME for Physicians: Emergent Medical Associates designates this live activity for a maximum of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
